He said of the 56, 25 have been completed while the rest are in various stages of implementation by both the federal and state governments.
“In Oct last year, I paid an official visit to the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) Regional Headquarters in Kuching and was given a briefing on the National Digital Network (Jendela) plan.
“For the Saratok parliamentary constituency, eleven telecommunication towers are to be built.
“One of them will be located in Kampung Nyabor,” he said in a Facebook post today.
Ali who is Federal Deputy Energy and Natural Resources Minister said the telecommunication tower in Kampung Nyabor is currently in the tender evaluation stage by the MCMC.
“After this process is completed, a contractor will be appointed and hopefully the construction work can be carried out immediately
“At the same time, a total of 20 communication towers will be built by the state government which would bring the total to 31 towers.
“If all these projects are completed, the Saratok will have 56 towers,” he said.
